AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING LAND TO THE CITY OF HAYS, KANSAS.
WHEREAS, the following described land adjoins the City of Hays, Kansas,
WHEREAS, written consent for annexation of the following described land, signed by all of the owners thereof, has been filed with the City of Hays, Kansas, pursuant to K.S.A. 12-520(a)(7); and
WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Hays, Kansas finds it advisable to annex such land.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF HAYS, KANSAS:
Section 1. Pursuant to K.S.A. 12-520(a)(7) the following described land is hereby annexed and made part of the City of Hays, Kansas:
A Tract of land in the Northwest Quarter of Section 27, Township 13 South, Range 18 West of the 6th Principal Meridian, Ellis county, Kansas, described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of Section 27, Township 13 South, Range 18 West; Thence south 89 Degrees 07 minutes 02 seconds East, along the South line of the Northwest Quarter, a distance of 1090.73 feet; Thence North 01 degrees 00 minutes 09 seconds East, a distance of 235.00 feet to the Point of Beginning; Thence continuing North 01 degrees 00 minutes 09 seconds East, a distance of 1041.24 feet to the South line of Interstate 70; Thence South 59 degrees 26 minutes 49 seconds East, along the South line of Interstate 70, a distance of 748.34 feet; Thence South 58 degrees 16 minutes 17 seconds East, along the South line of Interstate 70, a distance of 295.29 feet; Thence South 00 degrees 52 minutes 58 seconds West, a distance of 519.40 feet; Thence North 89 degrees 07 minutes 02 seconds West, a distance of 905.92 feet to the Point of Beginnings Said tract contains 16.267 acres more or less.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the official city newspaper.
