At approximately noon, Thursday, September 3, 2020, the City of Hays experienced a waterline break near 27th & Walnut while a contractor was doing work in the area. This waterline affects all service areas north of 27th. Staff is trying to isolate the leak, therefore residents and businesses may experience lower than normal water pressure North of 27th. 27th Street will be closed between Hillcrest and Walnut Streets and will remain closed until further notice. The traveling public is asked to avoid the area at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
